Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races: Sunday, April 12, 2026. This major local event features a Half Marathon and 5K through scenic neighborhoods and the Farmington Canal Trail, plus Kids Fun Runs at Cheshire High School.
Touch a Truck 2026: Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Bartlem Park. A great family-friendly opportunity to explore various service vehicles.
Cheshire Repair Café: Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Bring broken items like clothes or appliances to be fixed by volunteers to keep them out of landfills.

The library has a full calendar for April, though note they are closed on Monday, April 20 for Patriots' Day.
Gardening Talk: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 (6:00 PM). Hosted by the Cheshire Garden Club, focusing on container gardening.
Music of Connecticut’s Revolution: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (6:30 PM). A historical program featuring hymns and songs from the American Revolution.
Family Game Night: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (6:30 PM). Held during school vacation week.

The Recreation Department is responsible for planning and implementing hundreds of recreational programs, services, and events throughout the year for all ages. The department oversees the scheduling and use of the pavilions, town fields, trails, and the Youth Center as well as school fields and gyms for Recreation Programs and local sports organizations.
